Botox & Neurotoxin Injections in Springfield, MO
Refined. Balanced. Still You.
At Selah Wellness & Aesthetics, neurotoxin treatments are designed to soften unwanted lines and restore facial balance while preserving the expressions that make you look like you.
Every face moves differently. Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all injection pattern, each treatment begins with an individualized assessment of your facial anatomy, muscle movement, symmetry, proportions, and aesthetic goals.
The goal isn’t to change your face.
It’s to help you look rested, balanced, refreshed—and still completely like yourself.

A Personalized Approach to Botox & Neurotoxins
Botox® and other neuromodulators temporarily reduce targeted muscle activity responsible for dynamic facial lines.
At Selah, treatment is approached conservatively and intentionally. Before injecting, we evaluate your facial expressions at rest and in motion to determine which muscles are contributing to the concern you’re seeing.
Treatment may help soften:
• Forehead lines
• Frown lines or “11s”
• Crow’s feet
• Brow asymmetry
• Downturned corners of the mouth
• Chin dimpling
• Bunny lines
• Gummy smile
• Vertical neck bands
• Other areas where excessive muscle activity affects facial balance
Treatment recommendations vary based on your anatomy, muscle strength, treatment history, and desired outcome.

Botox®, Dysport®, Xeomin®, Jeuveau® & Daxxify®
There isn’t one neurotoxin that’s necessarily “best” for everyone.
Different neuromodulators have characteristics that may make one more appropriate for a particular patient, treatment area, or aesthetic goal.
At your consultation, we’ll discuss the available options and recommend a treatment plan based on your anatomy and goals rather than simply choosing a product by name.
⸻
Natural Results Are the Priority
One of the most common concerns we hear is:
“I don’t want to look frozen.”
We understand.
The purpose of aesthetic treatment at Selah isn’t to eliminate every bit of facial movement. Thoughtful neurotoxin treatment can soften lines and rebalance muscle activity while maintaining natural expression.
For some patients, that means treating conservatively.
For others, stronger facial muscles or deeper dynamic lines may require a different approach.
Your treatment plan should be as individual as your face.

Meet Your Injector
Jennifer Regan | Nurse Practitioner
Selah Wellness & Aesthetics was founded on the belief that aesthetic medicine should combine clinical knowledge, thoughtful assessment, and an appreciation for natural facial harmony.
Jennifer Regan is a nurse practitioner with more than 20 years of healthcare experience, including extensive experience in cardiovascular medicine and earlier professional experience and training in plastic surgery and aesthetic medicine in Los Angeles.
Her approach to aesthetic medicine extends beyond simply identifying a wrinkle and injecting it.
Each consultation includes assessment of facial anatomy, muscle movement, symmetry, volume changes, skin quality, and the way these features interact with one another.
This allows treatment to be approached as part of the whole face, with an emphasis on subtle refinement rather than changing the features that make you uniquely you.
Beauty is not about changing who you are. It’s about restoring harmony, health, and confidence.

What to Expect at Your Appointment
Consultation
We’ll discuss what bothers you, what you like about your appearance, previous treatments, medical history, and what you hope to achieve.
Facial Assessment
Your face is evaluated both at rest and during expression to assess muscle strength, movement patterns, symmetry, and facial proportions.
Personalized Treatment
Injection locations and dosing are selected specifically for your anatomy rather than using the same injection pattern for every patient.
Follow-Up
Neurotoxin results develop gradually following treatment. When clinically appropriate, follow-up allows us to evaluate your response and determine whether any adjustment is needed.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does Botox last?
Neuromodulator duration varies between individuals and products. Many patients experience results for approximately three to four months, although duration can be shorter or longer depending on factors such as the treatment area, muscle activity, dose, metabolism, and product used.
When will I see results?
Results aren’t immediate. Changes typically begin developing during the days following treatment and continue to evolve as the neurotoxin reaches its full effect.
How many units will I need?
There is no universal number.
The appropriate dose depends on your facial anatomy, muscle strength, treatment area, previous response to neurotoxins, desired degree of movement, and the particular product being used.
Your recommended treatment and pricing will be discussed before treatment.
Will Botox make me look frozen?
It doesn’t have to.
At Selah, the goal is generally to soften excessive muscle activity while maintaining natural facial expression. Your desired degree of movement is discussed during your consultation.
Can Botox help uneven eyebrows?
Sometimes.
Eyebrow position is influenced by several opposing facial muscles. When appropriate, carefully placed neurotoxin can modify the balance between those muscles.
Because eyebrow asymmetry can have several causes, the face should be evaluated both at rest and during movement before determining whether neurotoxin is appropriate.
What’s the difference between Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, Jeuveau and Daxxify?
All are neuromodulators used to temporarily reduce targeted muscle activity, but their formulations, approved indications, dosing and other characteristics differ.
Rather than assuming one product is right for everyone, we’ll discuss which option best fits your treatment plan.
Is there downtime?
Most patients return to their usual activities shortly after treatment. Temporary redness, tenderness, swelling or bruising at an injection site can occur.
You’ll receive individualized post-treatment instructions at your appointment.
